So I made both. The vintage-looking pixie hat took me about one hour to make. The one with ear flaps took maybe 2 hours - or 12 times 10 minutes ;) ! It was suppposed to have bear ears but in the end I took them off, and think it looks better without. I still love both, but let's say the pixie hat is particularly cute.Oh, and if you're wondering why the pictures are blurry and not properly showing the hats, know that this little guy 1. doesn't want to stay still and 2. doesn't want to wear a hat. Not very helpful when you want a photo of a still baby with a hat.
