I tried... button rings

Tried making these rings lately. Like the result. Just had a problem with my epoxy, for some reason it is not sticking! Well it does but the buttons (or stone or whatever I put on a ring!) are easily detaching soon after it is dry. I'm a bit upset as I asked for advices and I was told it is very strong... Should find something else to stick stuff together...
